Cast of ‘Under the Smoky Roof’ to join audiences in Sanandaj

Iranian film ‘Under the Smoky Roof’ is to be screened in Iran’s western city of Sanandaj in the presence of the movie’s cast and crew.

The director of the film, Pouran Derakhshandeh, and two of the movie’s stars, Merila Zarei and Abolfazl Miri, are to attend the screening session.

‘Under the Smoky Roof’ is based on the social and emotional dilemma of divorce in Iranian culture.

The movie narrates the story of Shirin, who faces challenges in her relationship with her family and tries to mend the relations.

The film was screened at the 35th Fajr Film Festival and nominated at six different sections for the Crystal Simorgh.
